I cannot be too complimentary about the quality of your organisation and management of the holiday. Without your efficiency and energy, we would have come nowhere near seeing and having such a wide range and diversity of places and experiences as we did. Yet you achieved this with such consideration and good humour that I never felt that I was being managed or organised. It simply seemed as if everything worked effortlessly like clockwork, and to achieve that appearance requires the very best kind of management! But what made it special was, as I said on Saturday, that you belong to and love the Orkney community and heritage, and that you shared something of this with us, and in a way drew us into this experience. Two days on Orkney with Dave Lawrence just are not enough! My group of 15 people, ranging in age from 23 to 88, was captivated by Dave's knowledge of Orkney's past and present. He held our undivided attention for eight and a half hours each day, as we were educated about Orkney's history, archaeology, wildlife, culture, and the islands as they exist today. We were fortunate to see the Ness of Brodgar on one of the last days before it was returned to Winter solace; having the benefit of a professional archaeologist with such strong communication and presentation skills made this a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Two great days, but not enough.

Hi Caz, Just a note to thank you very much for a wonderful, once in a lifetime experience! I thoroughly enjoyed the week on Orkney, everything went like clockwork, we never felt rushed yet we saw so much and learnt an enormous amount with you. The transport was super comfortable and the lunches at the various local pubs were delicious and always bountiful. By the way, the bouncy egg has been a hit with my stepsons as was the blow-up Spitfire both from Scapa Flow. Our memories of Skara Brae and the Ring of Brodgar have to be the highlights, but St Magnus' cathedral is a great treasure for the people and, because of our family's history, we were also very much interested in the evidence of WW2.
