We hope you enjoy looking at the photos on this page. They will give you an idea of what to expect if you take an 'Orkney Adventure' holiday with us.
It’s a long walk to the Old Man of Hoy so we only go there on private tours, but you can see this famous sea stack from the Scrabster – Stromness ferry. If you take a private holiday or tour with us you may choose your own itinerary and visit any of our other islands such as Westray to see the puffins and gannets at the Castle of Burrian or Noup Head, or to Papa Westray – but we’re afraid you won’t see the last Great Auk, just his memorial!
If you are on a holiday with us in mid July and August we will visit the excavation at the Ness of Brodgar – Orkney’s Neolithic cathedral. And of course there’s always the chance to spot seals at the Brough of Birsay or at Saviskaill in Rousay, or admire the wildflowers growing just about everywhere. Orchids are rare but not in Orkney – here we have orchids growing on the roadside verges. Whatever you want from your holiday or tour you will find it waiting for you in Orkney. As you can see from these pictures there's so much more in Orkney than most people imagine - and we look forward to showing you these sites and many more on one of our Orkney holidays or private tours.
